Notepad Graph Chrome 확장("본 확장")은 개인 개발자가 만든 무료 메모/그래프 편집 도구입니다. 이 방침은 Chrome 웹 스토어에서 설치하는 본 확장이 어떤 정보를 다루는지 설명합니다.

1. 요약

메모 내용은 기기 밖으로 나가지 않습니다. 메모, 파일 이름, 노드의 수나 구조는 개발자에게도, 어떤 서버에도 전송되지 않습니다.
본 확장은 24시간마다 한 번, 지난 날짜에 얼마나 사용했는지를 날짜별 숫자로만 Google Analytics로 보냅니다. 보내는 항목은 아래 §3의 표가 전부입니다.
회원가입, 로그인, 계정이 없습니다. 광고, 쿠키, 이메일·이름 수집이 없습니다.
이 사용 집계를 끄는 설정은 없습니다. 중지하려면 확장을 제거하세요(§9).

2. 기기에만 저장되는 정보

이 정보는 사용자의 브라우저 안에만 있고, 브라우저 데이터를 지우거나 확장을 제거하면 함께 삭제됩니다. 개발자는 접근할 수 없습니다.

3. 외부로 전송되는 정보 — 일별 사용 집계

본 확장을 얼마나 많은 사람이 쓰는지 알기 위해, 날짜별 숫자 한 건씩을 보냅니다.

전송 방식

사용한 시간은 먼저 기기 안에 하루 단위 합계로 쌓아 둡니다. 그 합계는 사용한 날 바로 전송되지 않습니다.
24시간마다 한 번, 기기에 쌓여 있는 합계 중 아직 보내지 않은, 이미 끝난 날짜의 것을 한꺼번에 보냅니다(날짜마다 한 건씩). 아직 끝나지 않은 오늘 합계는 그날이 끝난 뒤의 전송 때 보냅니다.
보낸 날짜의 기록은 기기에서 지웁니다. 전송이 실패하면 1시간 간격으로 다시 시도하며 처음 포함 최대 3번이고, 그래도 안 되면 다음 24시간 전송 때 다시 보냅니다. 3일이 지나도록 보내지 못한 기록은 보내지 않고 폐기합니다.
사용하지 않은 날은 기기에 기록 자체가 없으므로 보낼 것이 없습니다. 이는 "활동이 없는 날을 보내지 않기로 선택한다"는 뜻이 아니라, 쌓인 합계가 없어서 전송할 내용이 없다는 뜻입니다. 다만 설치 직후에는 사용 여부와 상관없이 설치한 날짜를 알리는 기록 한 건(활성 분 0)이 한 번 전송됩니다.
이벤트 시각은 실제 전송 시각이 아니라 해당 날짜의 마지막 시각(23:59:59 UTC)으로 고정해서 보냅니다. 하루 중 언제 사용했는지는 보내지 않습니다.
사용 직후 즉시 보내거나, 브라우저를 켤 때 보내지 않습니다.
전송처는 Google Analytics 4(Google LLC)의 Measurement Protocol(www.google-analytics.com)입니다. 본 확장이 통신하는 곳은 여기뿐입니다.

활성 분을 세는 방법 본 확장 화면이 보이고 포커스가 있을 때, 마우스 클릭(pointerdown), 키 입력(keydown), 휠(wheel), 스크롤(scroll)이 있으면 1분에 최대 1분으로 셉니다. 어떤 키를 눌렀는지, 무엇을 입력했는지, 어디를 클릭했는지는 읽지 않고 저장하지 않습니다. 마우스 이동은 세지 않습니다. 하루 활성 분의 합계 하나만 남습니다.

보내지 않는 것: 메모 내용, 파일 이름, 노드 수나 구조, 이벤트 종류별 횟수, 시간대별 값, 이메일·이름·계정, 광고 식별자, 쿠키, 위치 정보.

4. Google이 받는 정보와 국외 이전

요청이 Google 서버에 도착하는 과정에서 IP 주소, 도착 시각, 브라우저 종류(User-Agent) 같은 접속 정보가 Google에 전달됩니다. 이는 인터넷 요청의 일반적인 특성이며, Google이 자체 방침에 따라 처리합니다(Google 개인정보처리방침). 개발자는 Google Analytics 화면에서 위 §3의 값을 설치 ID별로 볼 수 있습니다. 같은 설치 ID의 날짜별 활성 분 이력도 보입니다.

Google Analytics 속성은 Google 신호와 데이터 공유 설정을 꺼 두었고, 이벤트 데이터 보관 기간은 14개월입니다.

이전을 거부하는 방법과 효과	확장을 제거하면 이후 전송이 없습니다(§9). 확장의 메모·그래프 기능에는 영향이 없습니다.

5. 사용 목적과 처리 근거

월간·일간 활성 사용자 수, 설치 후 계속 쓰는 사람의 비율, 버전별 사용 현황을 파악해 개선 방향을 정하는 데만 씁니다. 광고, 프로필 만들기, 제3자 판매·제공에 쓰지 않으며, Google Analytics로의 전송 외에 다른 곳에 전달하지 않습니다. 처리 근거는 서비스 개선을 위한 이용 현황 파악이라는 개발자의 정당한 이익입니다(EU 일반개인정보보호법 제6조 제1항 (f)).

본 확장이 사용자 정보를 쓰고 다른 앱에 전달하는 것은 Chrome 웹 스토어 사용자 데이터 정책의 제한된 사용(Limited Use) 요건을 따릅니다. 위 목적 외에는 쓰지 않으며, 판매하거나 광고에 쓰지 않습니다. 개발자는 Google Analytics에서 집계된 통계를 확인하고, 개별 설치 ID의 기록은 오류를 확인하거나 §8의 권리 행사 요청을 처리할 때에만 열람합니다.

6. 확장이 요청하는 권한

7. 보유 기간과 파기

기기: 날짜별 활성 분은 전송에 성공하면 바로 삭제하고, 3일이 지나도록 보내지 못한 것은 보내지 않고 삭제합니다. 설치 ID는 확장을 제거하면 삭제됩니다.
Google Analytics: 이벤트 데이터는 보관 기간(14개월)이 지나면 Google 시스템에서 자동으로 삭제됩니다.

8. 이용자의 권리

관련 법령(한국 개인정보 보호법, EU 일반개인정보보호법 등)에 따라 이용자는 자신의 정보에 대해 열람, 정정, 삭제, 처리 정지를 요구할 수 있고, EU 거주자는 이동과 이의 제기 권리도 가집니다. 아래 §13의 문의처로 요청하시면 법령이 정한 기간 안에 처리합니다. 요청 대상 기록을 찾으려면 설치 ID가 필요합니다. 설치 ID는 이름이나 이메일과 연결되어 있지 않아, 개발자가 이용자를 ID로 알아볼 수 없습니다.

권리 행사에 불만이 있으면 거주 지역의 개인정보 감독기관에 민원을 제기할 수 있습니다(한국: 개인정보침해 신고센터 118, EU: 거주지 감독기관).

9. 사용 집계를 끄려면, 그리고 자동 수집 장치

본 확장에는 사용 집계를 끄는 설정이 없습니다. 중지하려면 chrome://extensions에서 확장을 제거하세요. 제거하면 이후 아무것도 전송되지 않습니다.

본 확장은 쿠키를 쓰지 않습니다. 브라우저의 확장 전용 저장소(chrome.storage.local)에 설치 ID와 날짜별 활성 분을 두며, 확장을 제거하면 함께 삭제됩니다. 브라우저의 Do Not Track 신호에는 반응하지 않습니다. 다만 본 확장은 다른 웹사이트나 서비스에서의 활동을 추적하지 않습니다.

10. 아동의 개인정보

본 확장은 특정 연령층을 대상으로 하지 않으며, 만 14세 미만 아동(미국 기준 만 13세 미만)으로부터 의도적으로 개인정보를 수집하지 않습니다.

11. 적용 범위

이 방침은 Chrome 웹 스토어에서 설치한 Notepad Graph 확장에 적용됩니다.

12. 방침 변경

방침이 바뀌면 이 문서의 "최종 수정일"을 갱신합니다. 수집 항목이 늘어나는 경우에는 확장 업데이트 설명에도 알립니다.

Notepad Graph Chrome Extension — Privacy Policy

The Notepad Graph Chrome extension ("the extension") is a free memo and graph editor made by an individual developer. This policy explains what the extension you install from the Chrome Web Store does with information.

1. Summary

Your notes never leave your device. Note content, file names, and the number or structure of nodes are not sent to the developer or to any server.
Once every 24 hours, the extension sends a few numbers about how much you used it on past days, one record per day, to Google Analytics. The table in section 3 is the complete list.
There are no accounts, no sign-in, no ads, no cookies, and no collection of your name or email.
There is no setting to turn the usage count off. To stop it, remove the extension (section 9).

2. Data stored only on your device

This data stays in your browser. Clearing browser data or removing the extension deletes it. The developer cannot access it.

3. Data sent off your device — daily usage count

To learn how many people use the extension, it sends one small record per past day:

Date	The day the total belongs to (UTC).
Active minutes	A whole number counting the minutes you used it that day (see below).
Extension version	For example `1.131.3`.
Install kind	`new` (installed after this feature was added) or `existing` (used it before).

How it is sent

Time of use is first accumulated on your device as a daily total. That total is not sent on the day you use it.
Once every 24 hours, the extension sends all totals on your device that have not been sent yet and belong to days that have already ended (one record per day). Today's total, which is still in progress, is sent in a later 24-hour send after that day has ended.
A record is deleted from your device once it has been sent. If a send fails, it retries at 1-hour intervals, up to 3 attempts in total including the first; if it still fails, it is sent again at the next 24-hour send. Records that could not be sent within 3 days are discarded and never sent.
A day on which you did not use the extension has no record on your device, so there is nothing to send. This does not mean the extension chooses to skip inactive days; there is simply no accumulated total for them. The one exception: right after installation, one record marking the install date (active minutes 0) is sent once, whether or not you used the extension.
The event time is fixed to the end of the day the total belongs to (23:59:59 UTC), not the time of sending. When during the day you used it is not sent.
Nothing is sent right after you use it or when the browser starts.
The destination is Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC), Measurement Protocol (www.google-analytics.com). This is the only place the extension communicates with.

How active minutes are counted. While the extension page is visible and focused, a click (pointerdown), key press (keydown), wheel, or scroll counts as at most 1 minute per minute. The extension does not read or store which key you pressed, what you typed, or where you clicked. Mouse movement is not counted. Only one daily total is kept.

Not sent: note content, file names, node counts or structure, per-event-type counts, per-hour values, email, name, account, advertising IDs, cookies, location.

4. What Google receives, and transfers abroad

When a request reaches Google, connection information such as your IP address, arrival time, and browser type (User-Agent) is passed to Google. This is how internet requests work, and Google handles it under its own policy (Google Privacy Policy). The developer can see the section 3 values per install ID in Google Analytics, including the day-by-day active minutes of one install ID.

The Google Analytics property has Google signals and data sharing settings turned off, and event data is kept for 14 months.

How to refuse, and the effect	Remove the extension and nothing is sent afterwards (section 9). The note and graph features are not affected.

For users in the EU/EEA, Google relies on transfer mechanisms such as the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses; see Google's documentation.

5. Purpose and legal basis

Used only to learn daily and monthly active users, how many people keep using the extension after installing, and usage by version, to decide what to improve. Not used for ads, profiling, or sale or transfer to third parties, and not passed anywhere except to Google Analytics. The legal basis is the developer's legitimate interest in understanding how the extension is used to improve it (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).

The extension's use and transfer of information adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. It is not used beyond the purpose above, sold, or used for advertising. The developer looks at aggregated statistics in Google Analytics, and looks at the records of an individual install ID only to investigate errors or to handle a rights request under section 8.

6. Permissions

The extension requests no host permissions.

7. Retention and deletion

On your device: a day's active minutes are deleted as soon as they are sent successfully, and anything that could not be sent within 3 days is deleted without being sent. The install ID is deleted when you remove the extension.
Google Analytics: event data is deleted automatically from Google's systems after the 14-month retention period.

8. Your rights

Under applicable law (such as the Korean Personal Information Protection Act and the EU GDPR), you may ask for access to, correction of, deletion of, or restriction of processing of your information, and EU residents also have the rights to portability and to object. Contact us in section 13 and we will respond within the time the law requires. To find the records a request is about, the install ID is needed. The install ID is not linked to your name or email, so the developer cannot tell who an ID belongs to.

If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the data protection authority where you live (Korea: the Personal Information Infringement Report Center, 118; EU: your local supervisory authority).

9. Turning the usage count off, and automatic collection

There is no setting for it. To stop it, remove the extension from chrome://extensions. After removal nothing is sent.

The extension uses no cookies. It keeps the install ID and daily active minutes in the browser's extension-only storage (chrome.storage.local), which is deleted when you remove the extension. It does not respond to the browser's Do Not Track signal. The extension does not track your activity on other websites or services.

10. Children

The extension is not directed at any age group and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 14 (under 13 in the United States).

11. Scope

This policy applies to the Notepad Graph extension installed from the Chrome Web Store.

12. Changes

If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date is updated. If more data is collected, the extension's update notes will say so.
